Fun stuff on blogs..

I love the blogs.. I think they are an off shoot of Simple Women’s daybook? .. that have a bunch of different lines you complete. So here is my version:

Outside my window… everything is sooooo green! Almost two more inches of rain last night!

I am thinking… my friend Michelle and her family will be here any moment.

I am thankful for… all of the amazing ladies that I have met through during my years of homeschooling. My co-op buddies are the best!

From the learning rooms… we are still cleaning and purging and organizing. I am also anxiously awaiting the arrival of the new curricula order.

From the kitchen… I will soon smell spaghetti.. it’s a good meal when there will be 18 to 20 for dinner.

I am creating… a mosaic table for my deck.

I am going… to have a wonderul weekedn with friends and on Sunday Pat and I celebrate our 30th wedding Anniversary!

I am reading… a book for fun.. Dee Henderson’s The Guardian. (again) and a book educational purposes, A Patriot’s History of the United States.

I am hoping… to finish all of the co-op planning next week!

I am hearing… The children having fun with moies , games and two of the big kids.. Dané and Ben mock fighting over her blog.

Around the house… almost all the housework is done in anticipation of the visitors coming for the weekend.

One of my favorite things… is watching the kids run through the water in the summer. It was finally warm enough yesterday.

A few plans for the rest of the week include… finishing up our school year.

Here is picture for thought I am sharing…

I have been finding the neatest blogs. So inspiring. I have been trying to visit as many as I can in the 20 to 30 minutes I have in the mornings to check email, banking and then play. This morning I was several homeschool, homemakers blogs that I haven’t been to in awhile and one has added one of those feeders where you can see who is visiting and from where. Several blogs that I enjoy visiting have them. It amazed me how many women from here in America and many other countries were on line checking out these blogs. Moms and others from everywhere, online reading and gleaning wisdom from one another. What a neat age we live in!

They are forecasting rain again all day so i need to see about getting out to the garden (or at least getting children out there), before it starts. Have a blessed day.

Has become the scrapbook I don’t have time for. I miss my scrapbooking. I have tons of supplies and pictures but the work of getting it all out and together is just too much work. So I come here and blog. or think about blogging! I have all these ideas for posts and only get to one every now and then. Most of them aren’t worth the digital and virtual space they take but I still have fun!

Someday maybe I’ll find time to pull out all that scrap book stuff. I did it about two months ago and even got ten pages done. I still have about thirty to go to finish Matt and Monica’s scrapbook (from their wedding). Hmm maybe by the time of their tenth or twentieth wedding anniversary?

I think maybe it is time to check into digital scrapbooking. Anyone have any great programs they like? I know mom was playing with it before she died and had bought into a site but I didn’t keep the info she had. Maybe I’ll have to look through the pile of program discs I have of hers.

Have a blessed night!

Monday musings

February 1, 2010|10:49 pm

I have failed miserably not yet succeeded at getting to my blog and and doing the gratitude post on Monday’s.

I am so grateful for many things right now and they seem to come to mind easiest in the middle of the night and wee small hours of the morning. I’ll see how many of them I can remember tonight.

I am blessed by chickens who provide wholesome eggs for our family:

new layers.. you never know what size you'll get.

I am grateful for time spent with my children. Especially when they now live far away. Matt is stationed in Germany but had to be at a training for computers in Dallas, TX. I was in Texas with my dad as he had been scheduled for surgery. The surgery was canceled while dad was on the table being prepped for surgery. The reason: someone misread the test results. I am so happy they caught it before he went through another surgery!

Matt a bit jet lagged but so much fun.

Last but definitely not least I am so grateful for new life. Nick and Camilla gave birth on January 15th to Joseph James. He is gorgeous! We found out a few days later that Matt and Monica are expecting this fall. This will make 6 grandchildren for Pat and I. God is so good!

Oh MY!

Working out the details

October 18, 2009|5:14 pm

Well now we know the blog works! And I can show pictures. There have been a few glitches as I have learned to use this and I am sure there will be a few more as I add things to my blog. This is my goal for blogging: To make this set up as user friendly to myself as possible. I would love to just get up and running and be able to use this as a photo journal and diary. I love visiting blogs that are updated often with everything under the sun. I do not care how many people actually visit mine BUT I do care that it be new and fun looking, maybe have great pictures of the kids for family to see or fun stories of what we are doing in life and in our lifestyle of home education. What are some of the features of blogs you love to visit?

New Blog / Fresh Start!

October 14, 2009|10:38 pm

So welcome to my new blog! Ben (the at home geek) started this for me after I complained one too many times about not being able to upload pictures to my old one correctly. After being asked again to help me figure it out, he just made me this beautiful new blog and said here! this should do what you want, mom! Short, sweet, and fixed! So for my first attempt at posting on my new blog I will try and share one picture from History Fest!

If this works I will be a happy mama and come back tomorrow and add more pics.
