I have been finding the neatest blogs. So inspiring. I have been trying to visit as many as I can in the 20 to 30 minutes I have in the mornings to check email, banking and then play. This morning I was several homeschool, homemakers blogs that I haven’t been to in awhile and one has added one of those feeders where you can see who is visiting and from where. Several blogs that I enjoy visiting have them. It amazed me how many women from here in America and many other countries were on line checking out these blogs. Moms and others from everywhere, online reading and gleaning wisdom from one another. What a neat age we live in!
They are forecasting rain again all day so i need to see about getting out to the garden (or at least getting children out there), before it starts. Have a blessed day.

Today we had an impromptu Fairy garden party. I read a blog called Pink and Green Mama and fell in love. I’ll link to her later (I am still having trouble with that!) Yesterday she posted about the fairy gardens she had helped her daughters make as teacher gifts. Since my sister in law and nieces were already planning on stopping by, I ran to town and picked up some bowls from Wal-Mart and some little houses from the $1 section of Michaels. A quick phone call to another friend and we had a fun day planned.
First we painted houses
We just used acrylic paint I had on hand. When they were mostly dry I sprayed them with a gloss covercoat to protect from the weather.
Jonathan and Jay working hard.
H and Bethany took great pains to get exactly what they wanted.
C checks out her house.
My niece Destiny gets help from her daddy.
Adding Dusty Miller and Alyssum for "trees and bushes".
a sky high look
Lots of work being done.
The whole gang enjoys their results!
My nieces and their projects.
Bethany made hers as a tribute to my mom.
Jay and his garden
Jonathan holds his garden
All in all it was a fun inexpensive project that delighted everyone for a full afternoon and we will continue to enjoy them.
Sorry, I guess I need to relearn how to do links. In the mean time take a minute to copy and paste!
I’ll be back soon with an update on ordinary life. It has been busy with fun kinds of things (making my new mosaic table for the deck) and not so fun (septic backed up!UHGG!).
