Farm work..

February 18, 2010|4:05 pm

I have been doing some interesting reading regarding family work verses chores and chore lists. It is fun to do major projects as a family and chores get done much more  smoothly if they are a group effort. Today we had a major family project.. unloading about 200 bales of hay even though we cannot access our hay loft and can’t get to the sheds because…

1. It is too snowy.

2. It has been over a month since the back hoe has broken.

So my children had to use good old fashioned ingenuity and elbow grease to get the job done :>)

Jay can’t lift the bales but he can roll them off the wagon!

Watching Ben balance the hay and avoid the ice while doing so was quite a show.

Jeff is so warm blooded. It is only about 28 out but after a few minutes of hard labor he is shedding cloths fast.
